Greetings!,

Some of you have cute little dogs in your house all the time, we just welcome one as a houseguest from time to time. In the grand scheme of things, he's pretty tiny. In fact, he is so small that walking in the snow proves a bit of a challenge, and walking on the salted surfaces is not what he has in mind... What would you do to help him - maybe tiny little doggie boots to protect his paws? Ok, so they're yellow, really cute and cost about as much as a cute pair of inexpensive boots for my teen... Only one little problem - the funniest thing we've seen this year was Bentley waddling across the kitchen furiously kicking them off behind (I hope our howls of laughter didn't offend him). New plan - I now wash off his paws after every trip across the salt covered world... Kind of makes me wonder just who has who trained...

Wishing you moments of exuberant laughter to get you through the winter ~ see you soon,
Mary Beth
Game Day Super Sale
Sunday ~ February 4th ~ 12:00pm-5:00pm

I know this isn't exactly the saying, but... Are you ready for some fabric?! You'll find almost as much excitement as you do at a major sporting event right here at Quilters Corner on Sunday. The happy squeals here have everything to do with scoring an amazing deal on things you truly love. It is worth braving the crowd of quilting fans for 25% off all regular price in stock merchandise! Please keep in mind, it is very difficult for staff members to figure yardage details accurately in all the hubbub - please have your game plan worked out before the weekend (we are happy to help before!). If you are an And Sew On subscriber, don't forget to check your last issue for a special offer.
QC 2017 Block-of-the-Month Show and Tell
Sunday ~ February 11th ~ 1:00pm

How are your block-of-the-month projects from last year coming along? There is still time left to get them finished for our show and tell on the 11th! It is great fun to see what everyone created, and fun to see just how different the pieces turned out. You could share anything from Saturday Sampler quilts, to your Shattered quilt, Chocolatier, Journey's End, Lallybroch Lane, and all the rest we offered during the past year. Be sure to register for show and tell before the 8th (so we have a little thank you gift ready for you when you share a quilt). Keep stitching - you're almost done!
Take & Make Special
Sunday ~ February 11th ~ 3:00pm

There are still five places left in our special session of Take & Make. During the session, you receive kits and instruction for at least five small, unique projects. Maureen and I are busy trying to pare the list down - you know how carried away we get! This time we will focus on items made from bright cheerful spring themed fabrics and other unique supplies. The projects are quick and easy to make - perfect for gifts, or to add a sunny spot of color in your home. Fee $15.00
We can't wait to share the newest fabrics to arrive in the shop. There are new pieces in every single corner! Hopefully you will be able to stop in, because we are only sharing two here!

This is definitely the time of the year I find myself dreaming of warm summer days lounging by the lake with a book, which makes it the perfect time to create something cozy with the new Holly Taylor Summer On the Pond collection! Serene images of egrets, lily pads, tall grass and dragonflies come to life in gorgeous tones of grape, plum, cream and moss on the peaceful prints. I can almost hear the water lapping against the dock and feel the gentle breeze... Doesn't everyone need a piece made from this group to tide them over till summer?!
Fabric $10.99 per yard, Charm squares $9.99 per pack, Jelly Rolls $38.99 each, Layer Cakes $38.99 each

There is no such thing as having too many blenders (those small prints that compliment the more wild fabrics in your projects) - especially when they come in a rainbow of hues you don't often see! A range of tones from deep merlot through cranberry, rust, and salmon running to peaches, and cream are the first group of the small-scale prints in the Bijoux line to arrive. Tiny leaves, triangles, polka dots, and more give these bolts just the right amount of textural appeal without becoming busy or distracting - the perfect blenders! Maureen is pairing them with the new retro typewriters print from Northcott - how will you  use them?
Fabric $10.60 per yard

We have to quickly mention one new pattern. This one stands out because it is the slickest way to make a placemat we have ever seen! No surprise, the design is from Kristine Poor - she always has incredible ideas! In this case, the pattern, Inside Out Mats, offers a unique self-binding technique that will leave you asking, "Why didn't I think of that?!". To get started you select fabrics for the placemat front and back, border and accent trim. Then you move on to cutting, and the fully illustrated (with photos) construction steps. You can honestly begin these in the afternoon and have them on the table by dinnertime! Make them for everyday use, or for holidays, or as hostess gifts - perfect for the fabulous fabrics you want to see every day! Pattern $9.00

This Saturday (February 3rd) is packed solid with classes - thought you might need a quick reminder about all the offerings ~ don't miss Saturday Sampler, Border Creek Mystery, Cadence Court, Bel Canto and Poki! Oh my!
