Dear Jenifer,
It seems like
only yesterday that I wrote, but I know it
must be a while as I've been all over since
then! My trip to market this fall was a bit
different - my husband and youngest daughter
went along to visit family in Houston. I knew
I was "in for it" when my seven year old
declared she wasn't going to take her shoes
off in the security line. "That's gross", was
her comment (now that I think about it I
guess she's right!). Since she rarely says no
to anything I was momentarily stumped! A
little begging and we were on our way. She
and her backpack sailed through the check; I
on the other hand had my bag searched. I
guess three milliners needles are too many...
I really do need that many - what if one
bends, another gets lost...
Market was
awesome - creative examples of the best our
industry has to offer were at every turn!
Fabulous new fabrics and patterns have
already begun to pour in! Some of them will
make it onto the site but many others can
only be found in the shop - I hope you live
close enough for a visit
See you soon,
Mary Beth
| From Our Table Display |
 |
|
You only have
until this Saturday to vote for your favorite
shop table display. We had great fun planning
and setting our spots - there are lots of
displays to see - you'll probably be able to
tell who made each one without even reading
the signs! Bring a donation to the food bank
and you can vote for your favorite and enter
your name in the drawing for a kit for the
winning design.

There are lots
of Thimbleberries events coming up in the
next several weeks for club members. The
year-end is always such fun in this group!
You won't want to miss both the 2008 Preview

December 8th! Our holiday party will be held
Thursday December 13th at 6:30 pm. We will be
sending a note to each club member with all
the details, but we thought you might want to
add those dates to your busy holiday calendar
now. We always love to have new members join
the group. January is the perfect time to
join so that you can be part of all the
yearlong projects designed by Lynette!

| Maple Sugar |
 |
|
Debbi has just
finished piecing the Maple Sugar wall quilt
by Toadusew designs. The 53" x 53" seasonal
sensation features fossil fern fabrics and
batiks. It reminds me of the brilliant fall
days that we really didn't have this year! It
took us a while to select the fabrics for our
model - why can't we ever just do what the
pattern says?! To save you the effort we have
cut kits for this piece in fabrics as close
to those used in our sample as currently
possible. The kit includes the pattern,
fabrics for the top and binding and is
$61.50. Pattern only - $10.00

| Teapot Sampler |

We have added a
new class to the fall schedule. Joyce's
eye-catching teapot wall quilt is sure to
garner lots of attention in your home. It is
a two-color piece featuring embroidery,
crayon shadowing and pieced sashing. The
quilt can be made larger or smaller, if
desired, by being creative with the setting.
The class will be offered Wednesday, November
28th from 10:00-12:00 or Saturday December
1st from 12:00-2:00. Stop in or give the shop
a call to register. Fee: $15.00

| Kasuri |
 |
|
Hoffman fabrics
has shipped us a beautiful new collection
called Kasuri. It is an Asian inspired indigo
collection. Kasuri is spectacular - deep blue,
beige and brown prints in cotton with the
look of woven linen (fine printed lines in
the background mimic that fibers weave). They
would be perfect to include in a garment for
a more subtle Asian accent. $7.20 yard
