Dear Friends,

Oh my goodness are there ever a lot of people in my house!

Now that the "elves" at Quilters Corner have finished making all the holiday kits we offered, they are hard at work organizing and cleaning before inventory. Good news for you! The things that they find that just won't fit are included in the Year End Clearence! I won't be back in time to check their picks - that means lots of good deals come the 26th!

     See you soon,

           Mary Beth

  • Katmandu

Mark Lipinski, pattern designer and magazine editor (among other things) has made the leap to fabric designer. And oh what a leap! Katmandu, named after a Cat Stevens song, is bold, bright and plain old fun! The mendhi-inspired prints provide the perfect surface for embellishment. For those who like their embellishments nice and orderly the backgrounds are a 24-count grid - perfect for beading, cross-stitch, ribbon work... Purple, orange, green and taupe run wild across the pieces we received this week. At Quilt Market Mark showed the fabrics in action. His flamboyant touch was found on each quilt, pillow and accent piece that burst from his space. In the November/December issue of his magazine you will find a spread that showcases paint colors, trims and even buttons that would compliment the fabrics - fabulous! $8.80 per yard

    Hearts-A-Flutter!!!

If you have finished your Christmas stitching, we have fabrics lined up for your next holiday project. Cupid must have dropped in at Moda because their Valentine prints ooze sweetness and love! Chocolate brown, pink and white are prominently featured (with a bit of red sprinkled in as well). Pieces made from them would certainly say, "I love you"! $9.00 per yard

    New Magazine!

The newest issue of McCall's Vintage quilts has just arrived. This time the special publication includes a number of antique P.A. quilts. I always love the photography in this magazine. The close up shots are so crisp and clear that you can easily see the color and weave of the historic fabrics. While the quilts are historic in nature, the instructions showcase modern techniques for easier piecing than that used in the originals. Articles and patterns for the quilts make this a helpful reference tool that will be used for years to come. $5.99

    Luscious Little Block 25

Luscious Little Block- Pattern #25 Surprise! I have included an additional block that will allow you to use a 5 x 5 set (like the sample I will share with you after I get a few more rows added!) We will be happy to send you piecing fabrics for the block as shown (you provide your own block backgrounds). Please send $2.00 and a SASE to the shop and we will get them in the mail so you can begin stitching.

Each online pattern is available as an Adobe PDF. We also have archived all of the prior releases on Luscious Little Block Page so you will not miss a pattern! Once the file is open in a browser window you can print or save a copy to your hard drive. (Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat for best results.)
