Dear Jenifer,

OK, so what happened to January?! I know I wasted a bit of time with the flu, but the rest was so crammed with quilting fun that it "flew" as well! We spent the last weekend of the month sharing some of the vintage sewing machines in our collection at the Heinz History Center. What a beautiful setting and such gracious hosts! We will have to encourage them to host a similar event next winter - the brightly lit guild quilts were like a bit of sunshine during this cold and damp season!

Hope you are warm and cozy - with a project to keep you smiling!

  • Jocelyn Collection

The shop is beginning to look like spring - on the inside that is! The new Jocelyn collection from Moda showcases glorious flowers in bright pink, yellow, green and blue. It's not a terribly large group, but each piece could be fabulous focus fabric. Small blooms surround larger sunflowers and mums - a great way to start a garden while the snow is still flying! $8.99 per yard, charm stack $5.00

Block of the Month Show and Tell

Don't forget to let us know if you will be attending the Block of the Month Show and Tell, February 10th. We can't wait to see your finished pieces, (and neither can your quilting pals!). We'll have a special little gift for everyone who shares one of their Quilters Corner 2007 Block of the Month projects.

    New Jo Morton Fabrics!

Jo Morton's new Jamestown fabric line is fabulous. They didn't all arrive in the same shipment - but it has been kind of fun to receive bolt after bolt over the last couple weeks - like special presents! You will recognize her deep rich colors and traditional print style. I love the piece that looks like it has a twisted ribbon laying on a textured ground - it is a bit larger in scale and would be wonderful as the center or setting in some of Jo's patterns. We're planning to use them in Jo's next club projects. The #7 series starts in March (and will even be available on line).

Luscious Little Block Setting and Border

Luscious Little Block- Settings and Border. I have finally set and bordered all 25 blocks in our Luscious Little Block series. With block frames, setting squares, sashing and borders the quilt measures 61" x 61". I hope you have enjoyed the blocks - I had great fun stitching each and every one!

Each online pattern is available as an Adobe PDF. We also have archived all of the prior releases on Luscious Little Block Page so you will not miss a pattern! Once the file is open in a browser window you can print or save a copy to your hard drive. (Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat for best results.)
