As you can imagine, things have been rather exciting, (and hectic), at the shop in the past few weeks with the approaching release of the Fall 2009 Quilt Sampler magazine. It is such fun to see Quilters Corner featured, the photo's of the shop are great and Mary Beth's Oak and Berries quilt project is just wonderful! There is additional information and photo's posted on the magazine's website, allpeoplequilt.com. You may want to take a look. If you would like more information about many of the patterns, fabrics and samples shown in the Quilters Corner feature - we have a special Quilt Sampler page on the website. Many of these items have already been added to our online catalog, but if you see something we have not listed - let us know and we will get back to you with more information. Mary Beth has a few special events scheduled to  celebrate the Quilt Sampler release, (more info below), and we hope you will be able to join in the celebration! Quilt Sampler Celebration
 Mary Beth is as excited as a kid on Christmas - wait until you see the magazine!!! Your support has led to a shop feature in the fall issue of Quilt Sampler from American Patchwork and Quilting. You'll find photos of several corners of the shop (and articles about nine other fabulous shops, now that she thinks about it!) as well as directions for the Oak and Berries quilt we designed just for the publication. You can take a peek at the quilt in our fall display - not that we're too proud, but it is the best autumn area we have ever had. Quilt Sampler goes on sale September 8th.

Quilt Sampler Cover to Cover Party!

Each issue of Quilt Sampler shines a spotlight on ten top shops. The variety of featured shops means there will be lots of unusual projects showcased - in the many different patterns and the remarkable photography! We will be rolling out the red carpet for you, our guests, on Saturday the 12th and sharing samples and technique demonstrations for some of our favorite projects. Of course the appliqué techniques used in our Oak and Berries quilt will be demonstrated, along with foundation piecing (there is a special gift for those making it to this "station"), working with wool, adding silk to your pieced projects, getting carried away with color options, secrets for creating tiny treasures and fine finishes. Magnificent door prizes, based on the magazine, will be awarded at the end of the day - you can enter your name in the drawing during each visit beginning September 5th. This is a once in a "shop lifetime" opportunity - we can't wait to welcome you!!!
